This is just a little hole in the wall place that offers service that feels like family and food that is exactly what you’d expect going to an Ethiopian home. I recommended this place to an Ethiopian friend who had just moved to Sacramento and he shared he hadn’t had good Ethiopian food in Sacramento yet (and he’d tried). He said this place was IT and kept going back for more. So if it’s authenticity you want, and you want some amazing people to make it, this is the place.

The Kind Bean Cafe is a quaint and lovely cafe with delicious Ethiopian food. I ordered the veggie platter and loved how balanced it is with both hot and cold items with varying spice levels. The women that works here are so friendly, and I enjoyed a conversation about our favorite items. Whether you want a caffeine fix or a healthy nourishing Ethiopian meal- I highly recommend!

Kind Bean Cafe has both superb food and incredible staff. Each and every time I eat here the food seems to get better and better. The vegan platter is just delicious and not overwhelming. The seasonings are just perfect and the injera is fresh and super tasty. While the meal in itself is perhaps the best in the area, the service is top notch and a level higher than many restaurants. The entire experience is absolutely phenomenal. You are greeted and served with a warm beautiful smile. You feel welcomed and appreciated. You kind of feel like royalty and really good about the experience here. Highly, Highly recommend this Incredible place!!

This was a great neighborhood coffee shop with a twist. I really enjoy Ethiopian food and their coffee is always freshly made. Although on this encounter, I did not partake in the food the smells really had me engaged and wanting to take a plate home. I ordered the Ethiopian macchiato and it was very delicious. I requested that it wasn't made sweet so I can enjoy the flavors. The service was very quick and attentive. I definitely will be back for another round and hopefully a plate of food as well.

I just happened to Google this place and go here on a whim. I had been cleansing & detoxing and wanted some nutrient dense foods without all the preservatives and additives. The owners were very hospitable. I placed my order & was able to discuss the difference between certain food selections. The cashier was very knowledgeable about the cuisine which made me feel right at home. I ordered & customized my own veggie platter. They has this one buttery tasting chickpea side and it was dark in color and surprisingly to me, it tasted very very good, especially considering I'm not a fan of chickpeas at all. I started eating chickpeas for their nutritional value. My entire veggie plate was delicious. I took a little bit home with me. I was definitely satisfied, not stuffed but, full. Kind Bean Cafe served it's purpose. Great Place for food. The owner asked me how everything was. Bonus!!! She made sure I had everything I needed. BONUS PLUS!!! I highly recommend this place.

Chicken Tibs were full of flavor! Injera bread was fresh. Staff were kind and accommodating. This was a great introduction to Ethiopian cuisine. I’ll be back :)

Oh my god this food is amazing! Great both for people new to Ethiopian food and for people desperately craving it like I was. Everything was spiced perfectly, cooked to just the right consistency, and fresh. If you have any issues with dairy, gluten, or are vegan, this place has a number of great options! The people working there were friendly and helpful, and happy to answer questions we had. Worth the drive, I'll definitely be coming back!

We went here after our camping trip, the food is soo delicious and fresh, especially the lamb dish that we got! The owner is very sweet and hospitable. We love Ethiopian food and this place really stand out for me!! The coffee is good too.
